How to spot them

Affiliate links open Amazon UK in a new tab, are marked with rel="sponsored" in the underlying HTML, and appear under a "Recommended supplies" heading. They never appear inside the main article text.

What this does not affect

• Our editorial content — guides, checklists and cleaning cost information — is not influenced by affiliate revenue.
• Our local provider directory does not use affiliate links.
• The cleaning cost calculator does not link to any paid products.
